Astralis went 5-0 in the round-robin stage of BLAST Pro Series Lisbon after taking down Cloud9 16-14 on Inferno.
The final round of the round-robin stage began with the prospect of a three-way tie at the top in case Cloud9 beat Astralis, and Natus Vincere beat MIBR.
The North American team got off to a great start to the game, jumping out to a 4-1 lead on the CT side of the map. The landscape of the game then changed dramatically as Astralis took control of proceedings, with the Danish side shutting down any chances of their opponents stringing rounds together to close out the half with a 9-6 lead.
Cloud9 kept their hopes alive with a successful B push on the back of a trio of kills by William "RUSH" Wierzba. Astralis were at this point were already through to the final, but they refused to let their foot off the gas after getting money in the bank, stringing five rounds together to bring the scoreline to 14-9.
Ismail "refrezh" Ali finally woke up and helped his team to make a comeback with a couple of multi-kill rounds. Astralis then surprisingly hit match point in an eco round following three kills from Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, but they could not deal the finishing blow. Cloud9 kept pressing on and took the game all the way to the 30th round, only to see the Danes prevail - a result that sets up a mouth-watering clash for the title decider in Lisbon between the current No.1 and No.3 teams in the world.
